Bishop Ross Owen Davies
Bishop Ross Davies was Vicar-General and became administrator of the Diocese after the retirement of Bishop Graham Walden. He was consecrated on St David's Day, 1st March 2002, and enthroned as Bishop of The Murray in Murray Bridge on Saturday 2nd March.
He was born in 1955 and is married to Christine; they have four children. Bishop Davies was born and educated in Melbourne, graduating from the University of Melbourne in Law and Arts in 1977. He trained for the priesthood at St Barnabas College, Adelaide and was ordained Deacon and Priest by Bishop John Hazlewood of Ballarat in 1981 and 1982. He has served in parishes in the Dioceses of Ballarat, Brisbane and The Murray, as well as in the U.K.
