Blue Knot Day is the national awareness day to support Australian adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. This year, Blue Knot Day is being held on Monday 29th October, and Parishes and Pastoral Districts are encouraged to stand by the motion passed at the 2016 Synod; that the Diocese would take Blue Knot Day and make an appropriate prayerful response for the occasion.
The Blue Knot Foundation offers a variety of ways to “get involved” that can be discovered via the link below.

Dn Margo Holt has prepared the following prayer for use across the Diocese;
Loving God, who knows the depths of pain, betrayal and suffering…
We hold before you all who bear the wounds of abuse as a child and in that pain and betrayal have found the world an untrustworthy place.
May you hold them and lead them as they journey towards a new hope and trust in the fullness of life which Christ came to bring to us.
Give them the courage to believe in your genuine and constant love, and may that love bring comfort and healing for their wounded lives.
Amen.
